Why Augusta Cybersecurity exists

Augusta Cybersecurity is a community outreach initiative created by Hungry Nova Labs. Our goal is simple: help residents, families, and small businesses in the Augusta, Georgia area recognize and avoid the scams and security mistakes that cause the most everyday harm.

We focus on plain language over jargon, practical steps over fear, and respect over shame. Falling for a scam doesn’t make someone careless or foolish — scammers are professionals who study human psychology. Our job is to make the warning signs easier to see next time.

Augusta Cybersecurity is not a government agency and is not affiliated with any city, county, state, or federal government body, nor with any law enforcement agency. We are an independent, non-commercial community project.

This site is in an early phase of development. Some features — like the Ask Nova AI assistant and automated scanning tools — are visible as previews but are not fully functional yet. We’d rather be upfront about what’s still in progress than overstate what’s available today.
